It’s time, boys! After two years of wait, Disney has graced us with their second numbered entry into the ever growing Star Wars universe. Vanessa and Walter return with another crazy episode of The Parking Lot Review!
This week, there’s a lot going on. Of course, we spend the entire hour and change talking all things Star Wars. Where does Rey’s story with Luke coincide with what’s going on with the rest of the universe? What’s the deal with Finn and Rose? Was that story worth the diversion? And what the hell was the deal with Kylo and Rey and their high school gossiping phone calls through the force? All of those questions will be answered during our plot discussion. Don’t worry.
Speaking of Rose, it seemed like everyone thought she was a waste of story. We tackle that little issue as well. We pay tribute the miracle worker known as Princess Leia Organa, of Alderran, adopted daughter of Bail Organa.
Of course, with every Star Wars release, this has been yet another polarizing release, and odd choices by the Evil Mouse Empire. Hell, even Rian Johnson got a trilogy contract for a story outside of the Skywalker saga. The ultimate question here is “was the move worth it?” Hell, critics give it a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, but plebes gave it a 56%, now less than The Phantom Menace. Then again, the modern Star Wars fan are a bunch of fickle bitches. See: the Rose debate.
Oh, and lest I forget, we take a few minutes at the beginning talking about The Disaster Artist, and the episode of The Parking Lot Review that was destined to not happen.
